Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of CrashFlow (the "Service"), operated by CrashFlow ("CrashFlow", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

CrashFlow is a financial simulation tool that helps individuals organise debts, bills and income and explore debt-payoff strategies (snowball, avalanche, buffers, etc.) for educational purposes. It does not provide regulated financial, legal, credit or tax advice.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to use CrashFlow. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular you must not:

  • use it for any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose;
  • infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • attempt to probe, scan, scrape, reverse engineer or interfere with the security or integrity of the Service; or
  • upload malware or attempt to gain unauthorised access.

4. Intellectual property

CrashFlow and all related software, content, designs, branding and documentation are owned by CrashFlow and protected by applicable laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use within the plan you have selected. You may not resell, redistribute or sublicense the Service.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the financial data you input. You grant CrashFlow a limited licence to host and process that data solely to operate and improve the Service for you.

6. Subscriptions, payments and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, taxes, subscription cancellation and refunds are governed by Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms. See our Refund Policy for details.

Paid plans renew automatically at the cadence shown at checkout (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. Lifetime plans are a one-time purchase. Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and may change for future billing periods on notice.

7. Service availability & warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations and simulations will match real-world outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrashFlow will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill or savings, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to CrashFlow in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence).

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our acceptable use rules. You may stop using the Service at any time and may cancel paid subscriptions via Paddle. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; you may export your data for a reasonable period before we delete it.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
